What is CBT?
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a widely-used therapeutic approach which is evidence based (so we know it works) that focuses on changing patterns of thinking and behaviour to improve emotional well-being. Its benefits include helping individuals develop coping skills, challenging and changing negative thought patterns, addressing maladaptive behaviour, and providing practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. CBT is often a short-term, goal-oriented therapy with long-lasting results.
